Audience: Instructors and Staff that are new to the LMS D2L Brightspace

Executive Summary:

This asynchronous course goes through the basics of creating a course inside D2L. Each module contains an overview of the topic, video walkthroughs, Storyline 360 simulations of a real D2L course, and links to more resources. Participants should feel comfortable diving into D2L for the first time after going through this course.

Challenges: 

We needed a way to give instructors hands-on experience with the platform even before they received their accounts from HR. Using video walkthroughs and storyline simulations allowed participants to see the platform and apply the things they learned with the sims.
